Orphan epidemic refers to the global rise of orphans. We work to prevent children from becoming orphans by addressing the root causes of extreme poverty and treatable diseases.

The orphan epidemic refers to the rise in the global population of orphans as a result of extreme poverty and treatable diseases. It is through no fault of their own that these children become orphans and they are left abandoned, defenseless, and vulnerable.

What does OE do?

The tragedy is that people just don’t know about the epidemic and the first step bringing about change is making people aware. OE’s first mission is to get the word out and bring awareness to the problem. In the coming months, we’ll be launching awareness campaigns and travelling the country to get the word out. Awareness is the first step towards change.

Once we move people’s hearts to action, 100% of public donations will be used to fight extreme poverty and treatable diseases. This includes building wells, water projects, building medical clinics, sending emergency supplies, and many other tasks that protect children from becoming orphans.

Now that you are aware of the epidemic, we can use your help. For starters, here’s how you can help:

Utilizing social media will be critical in bringing awareness to the epidemic. Brining attention to the orphan crisis needs to become a movement. Think about HIV/AIDS, Cancer, and Human Trafficking. How many organizations can you actually name that do work in these areas, yet you are very aware of the issues? Awareness has a great potential to breed action.
